  • Instructor Poomse Training Seminar - January 20, 2018

Kim's Academy Instructors & Masters will have a rare training opportunity on January 20, 2018. Grand Master Joon Yong Kim will teach a full day Poomse Training Seminar from 9AM to 3PM at the Main School, 1617 S. Longfellow in Wichita.

Grand Master Kim will review each traditional form step-by-step, giving detail of each technique. TaeGuek, Palgwe, and black belt forms will be included. The schedule will include a lunch break and lunch will be provided. We need RSVPs so that we have an accurate count for lunch. Please text your name and “Poomse RSVP” to 316-641-7890.

Grand Master Kim will preface the special seminar by reviewing forms in black belt class each week from now until the event on January 20. If your schedule allows, you should plan to attend as many black belt classes as possible in the next couple of months.

The Poomse Training Seminar is required for all Kim's Academy Instructors, as this will allow instructors to become more consistent in the way they teach the traditional Poomse to students. It is also highly recommended for all masters, and open to all black belts. Instructors and their assistants (anyone who teaches forms to lower belts) need to attend this training so that they are teaching forms consistent with Grand Master Kim's direction. This is the first time that Grand Master Kim has taught a full day event like this, so black belts should take this rare opportunity to train with Grand Master Kim.
